College of St. Joseph's women's basketball team picked up their seventh winning of the season at Vaughn College on Tuesday, Jan.15. CSJ scored 50 first-half points, going on to win 90-20.
Alayah Sweeney scored a season-high 30 points and shot 12-for-15 (80 percent) from the field to lead the Fighting Saints. Sabrena Eye had 14 points, six rebounds and LaShaunte White also tallied 14 points. Denyke Nicholas and Daija Black recorded 12 points apiece for CSJ. Vaughn's high-scorer was Marceisha Howard with 14 points.
The Fighting Saints are now 7-10 on the season and play next at home against UMaine-Machias on Thursday, Jan. 17 at 5pm. A men's match-up will follow at 7pm.
