Women's Basketball hosts the Vermont Technical College Knights on Wednesday, Jan. 25 at 5:30 p.m. The two teams met back on Nov. 8, in which the Lady Saints were able to come away with a narrow 66-63 victory over the Knights.
CSJ enters Wednesday's matchup in the midst of a five-game losing streak. They have currently dropped to 7-8 overall on the season but still have a winning record of 5-4 in Yankee Small College Conference match-ups. The Lady Saints will be looking to right the ship as they host Vermont Tech, a team they know they can beat.
The VTC Knights come to CSJ with a 5-14 overall record and a 4-6 YSCC record. They have struggled to find any type of consistency this season and have lost the majority of their games by double-digits. Although they have had a tough season, the Knights will be confident entering Wednesday's matchup after only losing by three points to the Lady Saints in their first go around.
A big reason for CSJ losing their last five games is the fact that they were matching up with some of the best teams in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association. They have shown signs of what they are capable of and now it is a matter of putting it all together for for a full 40 minute game. If the Lady Saints are focused and play with an aggressive mindset, they give themselves a great chance of taking down the Knights for the second time this season.
